New Commons Development, a non-profit development company, is spearheading the long-awaited redevelopment of 1117 Gerrard Street East. Soon to be demolished, the existing building will be replaced with a new five-storey, 35-unit affordable housing complex for seniors. The new building is expected to open in the spring of 2020.
